March 16th, 2009...

We were scheduled to start at 7.00 AM in the morning. But, due to unavoidable delay of girls, we had to start at 8.30.. We had breakfast on the way to the Chembra peak. We ate appam with alu-bhuji which had pungent coconut smell. Breakfast was strictly OK.

Then, we headed towards Chembra peak. The road was terribly amazing with steep turns. Our driver was making cuts excellently. We had to stop our vehicle to take few snaps.

Finally, we reached stating point of our trekking. Everyone was really excited about it. Few of our friends even thought that we would be given ropes to climb the peak, ala Mission Impossible...:P

I have carried a book (Malayalam in 30 days) to learn few malayalam words and make some fun with friends.
A polite and friendly guide has joined us and we started trekking around 10.30.
In the beginning, it was just walking. We came across touch-me-not plants which close their leaves as soon as we touch them.

March 15th, 2009

I shared my room with Gandhi and Seenu. We couldn't sleep properly as the bed was making some strange sound.

It was terribly cold in the morning and my phone alarm disturbed my few hours sleep. It was 6.00 Am. I turned it off and went to bed. But, i wanted to go for a morning walk around this beautiful place. That kept buzzing me. Then Gandhi woke me up.
We got freshened up and called Priyanka as she was interested in morning walk.

Gandhi and Seenu went for a jog. We dint had our sport shoes. So, we decided to take a walk on the other side of the hotel.

The walk was pleasant with trees all around. We carried digi-cam with us. There were some amazing views- Tall trees, Foggy leaves, Beautiful flowers and high raised buildings.
On the way, we met sweet little kids, making their way to the school. Took sum snaps with them.
We couldn't interact with them due to language problem..

We went on and on and reached a beautiful house on a raised road. There was a servant doing some work outside the house. We waved our hand and 'tha-tha' (we called him tha-tha) waved back. we asked him to join for a snap. The house owner noticed us and cordially asked us to come inside and take snaps of the beautiful house.
